Renata Ruiz Pérez is a Chilean model, (born May 9, 1984). She was the winner of the contest Elite Model Look Chile 2001. In September of the same year she took part in the international contest (Nice, France), where she competed with more than 60 delegates of 40 countries. The winner was the Dutch Rianne Ten Haken and Ruiz was the 1st runner-up. The third position was for another Dutch, Femke Lakenman.

Renata Ruiz represented Chile in Miss Universe 2005 in Thailand. She was elected under the organization of Ana Maria Cummins and Francisco Zegers. She did not place in the pageant, which was won by Canadian Natalie Glebova.

Natália Aparecida Guimarães (born on December 25, 1984 in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is a former Miss Universe Brazil. She won the title on April 14, 2007 beating out over 26 other contestants from states and the Federal District, Brasília.

Natalia is a model, actress and current host of Hoje em Dia, of TV Record.

Natalia, who began her modeling career at 15 years old and previously worked for Ford Models, also won the 2006 Top Model of the World International Pageant. However, she resigned due to her participation in Miss Universe 2007 and her runner up from the Philippines assumed the title. On May 28, 2007, Natália competed in the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico. She finished as the 1st runner up.

The day after the Miss Universe competition, a Mexican television show asked the public who should have won the pageant. Guimarães won this poll with almost a third of the votes

Alice Panikian (born May 23, 1985 in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian-born Canadian model who was crowned Miss Universe Canada on March 21, 2006. She attended William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in Toronto, and graduated in 2003.

At 6'0" (1.83 m) she is not only the tallest major national titleholder in Canadian history, but also had earned a significant amount of attention from the world press as one of the strongest candidates to succeed to then-reigning Miss Universe, Natalie Glebova, also from Canada. As no country has ever won the title back-to-back (later achieved by Dayana Mendoza and Stefanía Fernández in 2009, both of them from Venezuela), Panikian had a significant historical hurdle to jump despite many pundits who argue that she was an even stronger candidate than her predecessor. Alice did not become Miss Universe 2006 (that honour went to Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico), but she did finish in 6th place. Alice enjoys writing short stories, and her hobbies include volleyball and yoga.

Panikian is of Bulgarian and Armenian ancestry, which comes through her paternal grandfather and accounts for her Armenian surname. She came to Canada with her parents when she was five years old. Panikian studied at York University and majored in English and Communications. She studied broadcast journalism and resides in Toronto, Ontario and aspires to be a journalist or a TV show host.

Before becoming Miss Universe Canada, Alice represented Canada at the 2006 Reinado Internacional del Café or International Queen of Coffee pageant, held in Manizales, Colombia on January 9, where she became the first Canadian winner in the history of the pageant.

She also took the "Miss Photogenic" and "Best in Swimsuit" awards at the Miss Universe Canada Pageant.

Panikian was supposed to represent Canada and compete at Miss International 2007 held in Tokyo, Japan, but due to schedule conflicts in college, she did not compete. Justine Stewart took her place.

Kimberley Busteed is an Australian beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Australia 2007 and represented Australia in the 2007 Miss Universe pageant. She is from Gladstone in Queensland, Australia and is a former teen swimming champion and surf lifesaving competitor.

While competing in Mexico during the Miss Universe 2007 contest, she was heavily criticized for wearing her "tacky" national costume.[citation needed] Some of Australia's top designers branded the red lifesaving themed costume as "trashy" and "nothing to do with Australia's culture".

She won the Miss Universe Australia 2007 title shortly after the death of her grandfather. She missed his funeral while competing for the national title in Perth, but her family urged her to compete.

Near the end of 2008, Busteed obtained a position as a TV presenter on Channel 7's "Creek to Coast."Busteed is the second cousin of Australian children's author Alexander S. Foxhall.
